Usage

Hi,
I really want to participate in this hackathon.However I am not able to find out how to use this resource.
Do let me know in depth on what it does and how to use it.
It would be great if you can provide me links to any previous projects which incorporated this.

    Hi Haridarshan,
    If the in-memory computing segment is new to you, the general category where Apache Geode fits is "in-memory data grid".

    You might find some inspiration in the commercial use cases of Apache Geode's precursor: Pivotal GemFire: https://pivotal.io/resources?product=pivotalgemfire&type=casestudy

    Apache Geode also fits closer to the "NoSQL" category of data management platforms. It stores objects and documents versus relational tables.

    Example technical scenarios include: maintaining a month's worth of routing and logistics information for a large transportation system in-memory (several TB's), and allowing sub-second query response for ticketing at country-wide scale; maintaining risk profiles on billions of dollars of investment securities to make many concurrent rapid what-if analyses on potential new transaction opportunities; creating object-oriented and document-oriented front ends of transactional RDBMS systems having trouble scaling, and using extra speed to improve user experience such as context or geo-spatial aware mobile apps at web scale.
